KEY EXPERIENCE:

The Information Technology Group (ITG) is responsible for:

. Managing CLIENT's technology infrastructure

. Supporting, maintaining and enhancing existing business systems

. Delivering and deploying new systems, technologies and services

CLIENT provides specialist investment, advisory, trading and financial services in select markets around the world. We focus on areas of business where our particular skills and expertise deliver a real advantage for our clients, concentrating resources where we can add the most value.

We are seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join our dynamic team within the CLIENT in Philadelphia. The team is engaged in transitioning the acquisition of CLIENT into the CLIENT platform.

Key responsibilities include:

. Working with IT Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to conduct analysis on in-scope systems and processes with inter-relationships between Delaware Investments and their previous parent company

. Building an understanding of the CLIENT and CLIENT application and infrastructure environments in their current state as well as planned future state.

. Understanding how the business uses these applications and the suitability of the current platform and proposed future platform in supporting the business. This will include leading and participating in working sessions, documenting meeting minutes as well as current and future state application information gathered.

. Based on analysis conducted, identifying and documenting application components to be transitioned and candidate approaches for transition

. Defining and drafting application documentation to support solution delivery within the scope defined for the project. Deliverables will focus on business requirements, solution design, and testing.

. Identifying and raising risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, etc. to support solution delivery within the scope defined.

. Helping to define mitigations, resolutions, implementation, and other actions to remove obstacles to quality and supportable solution delivery.

. Identifying and documenting technical, business, testing and training requirements to insure quality and on time solution delivery. Serve as the key resource to drive these activities to completion in the time defined.

. Testing and validating affected functionality

. Facilitating business acceptance of completed transition solution

We are seeking an individual who has a proven track record in the following:

. Using best practice business and technical analysis principles -

a. Process Analysis and Definition using structured approach such as Use Cases, Diagrams (swim lane, data flow, activity, etc.), Business Rules

b. Interviewing Business Users and Technical Subject Matter Experts: Extract the process workflow, business benefit, risks/issues, and technical interdependencies from system users and/or IT experts.

c. Documenting Processes and Functionality: Ability to write clearly and concisely while expressing an objective view.

d. Issue/Risk Identification & Clarification: Ability to define an issue and its impact as well as identify effective resolution approaches.

e. Sponsorship / Stakeholder Identification: Ability to seek out the key users for an application.

f. Prioritization - Ability to prioritize pieces of work based on business benefit, risk, and other priorities.

g. Exit Criteria and Acceptance - Ability to clearly define exit criteria and user acceptance test cases.

. Has good time management skills - Enjoys working under pressure to provide timely and accurate analysis of systems

. Is a motivated individual - always striving to improve their skill set (without supervision) and keep informed of best practices in the industry.

. Has a diplomatic style with the ability to influence and direct where necessary.

. Has a technical background such as experience using and deploying database technologies, programming or technical architecture

Essential to the role are:

. Capability to do detailed technical analysis

. Strong communication skills - both verbal and written

. Excellent problem solving abilities

. Sound technical understanding of how systems work - with the ability to perform basic SQL

Preference - experience working in, and a high degree of knowledge of the Investment Management industry.
