KEY EXPERIENCE:
Define, design and implement web-based applications that will support our retirement plan business using the latest .NET technologies integrated with the Sitecore content management system. This includes the creation and maintenance of the Sitecore content tree and developing custom C# classes and user controls to meet the business requirements. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Software Design and Development: • Adhere to standards for Web framework, documentation, performance, coding and version control. • Lead and participate in all aspects of web development • Assist in establishing a framework within Sitecore CMS to support future development initiatives. • Effectively communicate application designs orally and in written format with end users, management, and developers • Comply with standards for Web development and best practices in the areas of layout, navigation, usability and accessibility and browser-compatibility • Work closely with Quality Assurance team to ensure the reduction of required testing durations Required skills/qualifications include: • Must have strong working knowledge and experience with Sitecore Content Management System, preferably certified level two. • 3+ years experience in analyzing, designing, and developing web based transactional applications. • 2+ years experience designing and implementing transactional websites using Sitecore o Creating Templates & Layouts o Creating overall Content Tree o Setting up Workflow & Publishing rules • 1+ years experience with the following (can define, develop and implement): o AJAX o Building ASP.NET custom controls o Advanced CSS o XML • Experience with the Online Marketing Suite (OMS) and it’s corresponding Rules Engine within Sitecore to be used for conditional rendering. • Strong knowledge of best practices in the areas of layout, navigation, browser-compatibility, usability and accessibility, in particular: o W3C o web page development experience to support agile prototyping leveraging CSS Layout (or table-less XHTML), HTML, DHTML, Javascript, jQuery, AJAX, FLEX, Flash, and Actionscript o demonstrated ability to work in tandem with web designers to support bringing design concepts to rich internet user experiences o strong proficiency in cross-browser development for multiple platforms,
